Ximena Ramos Pedrueza Ceballos:

Ximena Ramos Pedrueza Ceballos is a Mexican lawyer from Escuela Libre de Derecho. She earned an LL.M. in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from University of Oregon School of Law, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Transparency, Accountability and Fight against Corruption from the University of Chile. From 2010 to 2013, she worked as a human rights lawyer in Litiga OLE, an organization specialized in impact litigation on human rights, where she participated in the litigation against the authorizations for experimental liberation of genetically modified corn in the north of Mexico. With other environmental, social, peasant and beekeeper associations, she challenged authorizations for the pilot and commercial liberation of transgenic soybean in Yucatán and Chiapas. Since June 2013, she works as Defense Coordinator in the Southeast Office of the Mexican Center for Environmental Law, in Cancun, Quintana Roo.
